Laura and Laura (yes, really) met whilst working at Naked Wines and falling in love with all kinds of wines from around the world.

  • Lot #13: Pinot Grigio

Lot #13: Pinot Grigio was made by third-generation winemaker, Arrigo Bidoli and comes from the oldest winery in Friuli. He relies on simple, traditional techniques to create his take on Italy’s most famous white varietal. Suitably dry and crisp but with a lovely flush textural peachy-pear notes, a hint of angelica, even a whiff of spice…and a long, long finish.

  • Lot #14: Merlot

Floris Lemstra arrived in the Languedoc in 2007, having spent 20 years making seriously fancy wines in Burgundy. Working in a ‘less prestigious’ region meant he could experiment with different varietals and techniques, to make brilliant quality wines that can be enjoyed every day, and develop innovative approaches to sustainability, something he’s passionate about.

  • Lot #11: Grüner Veltliner

Winemaker Rob Krammer describes the perfect setting to enjoy his Grüner Veltliner as the tasting terrace at the winery, overlooking the snow-capped mountains near Vienna. This is textbook Gruner; racy lime and grapefruit and a distinctive tang of white pepper. Crisp, bright and herbaceous. money

  • Lot #9: Luberon Rosé

Mother and daughter team Anne-Marie and Camille Bagnis arrived from Marseille in 2017, armed with freshly minted oenology and vineyard management degrees. They set to work restoring the eighteenth century chateau, nurturing the vines to tip top health. This pale pink rosé is quintessentially Provençal... All delicate redcurrants and strawberries with a dash of mouth watering acidity.

  • Lot #2: Sauvignon Blanc

Pierre-Jean has some serious winemaking pedigree. He’s the fourth-generation winemaker at his family Chateau in the Loire. But if you think that means he’s a traditionalist, think again! "I draw upon the learnings from the past to make the best possible wine, but I also want to break free of the ‘golden prison’ of winemaking bureaucracy. To me, a great glass of wine is an empty one."

  • Lot #12: Tinto de Estremoz

Lot #12: Tinto de Estremoz was made by Donzilia Copeto, a winemaking legend from Alentejo. Before the 1974 revolution in Portugal, Alentejo wasn’t considered a wine region by the rest of the world. This was transformed by a small number of visionaries, including Donzilia's mentor, who introduced new varietals to create top quality, distinctive blends.
